Restoring Forests in the Face of Crisis with Dr. Anthony Davis, Dean of the College of Forestry, OSU at Worthy Brewing’s Hop Mahal on August 26 at 7pm.

Drawing on his experiences in Haiti and Lebanon, Dr. Davis will highlight the unheralded work of many to battle the impacts of climate change in face of war, extreme poverty and hundreds of years of ecological degradation. He will focus on the use of science to guide informed forest restoration actions that combat desertification and support rural communities in Oregon and abroad. Dr. Davis will also share stories of the cascading positive effects that come from working together towards a greener future.
